Nikolay Gordiychuk is an associate researcher at the Universität Hamburg. He studied classical Indology at Moscow State University, majoring in Tamil under the guidance of Dr. Alexander Dubiansky. From 2008 to 2014 he taught Tamil language and literature at the Russian State University for the Humanities, and then worked as a researcher at GAUGN University, RUDN University and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. His research interests as an Indologist focus on problems of Tamil lexicography and translations.
